Dr. Premanand Shenoy

Premanand Shenoy obtained his B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from University of Calicut in the year 1985, with a First Rank- Gold Medal. Subsequently obtained in Master’s Degree, M Tech (Industrial Structures) and Doctorate (Ph.D) in the specific filed of Structural Optimization from the prestigious KREC, presently National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. He has a Diploma in Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (18 Months) from Maritime Training Academy, UK and another Diploma in Industrial Safety (6 Months) from the National Institute of Labour Education and Management, Chennai.

He has undergone Basic Military Training from OTS, Kamptee, Military Engineering in Bengal Engineer Group Roorkee and was commissioned as a part of 2 KAR ENGR Coy, National Cadet Core. In both the training courses, he obtained No. 1 Position.

After serving as a faculty member at NITK for a decade, Dr. Shenoy founded Roy & Shenoy, an ISO 9001-certified Civil, Structural and Project Management Consultancy based in Mangaluru. The firm has successfully executed over 850 projects in India and abroad, covering shipyards, ports, refineries, industrial and infrastructure projects, large-span and multi-storeyed structures, bridges, storage terminals, and institutional facilities.

His clientele includes major organisations such as Udupi Cochin Shipyard, SWAN Defence and Heavy Industries, TEBMA Shipyards Limited, Bharati Shipyard Limited, Chowgule Ship Building Division, Square Port Shipyards Dabhol, New Mangalore Port Authority, Ganges Shipyard Kolkata, Baleshwar Shipyard Odisha, SECO Shipyard Kenya, Knowledge Shipyard Maharashtra, Synergy Shipbuilders N Dock Works Ltd. Goa, ONGC, HPCL, MRPL, Indian Oil, Reliance, Adani Wilmar, Ruchi Soya (Patanjali), Larsen & Toubro, GMR, BASF, Mott Mcdonald, Gannon & Dunkerly and several other leading shipbuilding and industrial companies.

Dr. Shenoy has received numerous honours and a National Level Commendation for Social Service from NCC.
